Elaine Franz Witten received art education at Connecticut College, Columbia University and was a student at the Carving Studio, West Rutland, VT. She also studied with Jane Armstrong, FNSS. Ms. Witten’s bonze sculpture has been shown in national and international exhibitions and awarded numerous prizes. Her two latest awards are in 2007 from Manhattan Arts International, NY, NY, “Herstory” exhibition where she received the “Best in Sculpture award” and an exhibition at the Academic Artist’s Association, Greenfield, MA, where she received the “Prize for Excellence in Sculpture” from the Council of American Artists’ Societies, Inc. She is represented by the Lenox Gallery, Lenox, MA, Polonaise Gallery, Woodstock, VT, Artworx Fine Art Gallery, Saratoga Springs, NY, and Landmark Gallery, Kennebunkport, ME. Ms. Witten’s commissions and corporate works are on public display in Vermont, Pennsylvania, New York and Alaska. Her bronze sculptures are in private collections across the US, in Canada and in the private collection of King Abdullah Miteb Ben Saud, Saudi Arabia. Ms. Witten’s juried professional affiliations include the National Association of Women Artists, NY, NY; Academic Artists’ Association, Springfield, MA and the Copley society, Boston, MA, where she is a “Copley Artist”. |
